We recommend narrowing down your list to two or three top contenders and investing time in visiting these campuses. The firsthand experience of walking through the campus, attending classes, and interacting with students and faculty can offer unique insights that may not be apparent from brochures or websites. Test scores may indeed be a more reliable predictor of academic success. Colleges understand that there has been rampant grade inflation and kids who would normally not be A students are getting As. How to figure out who is academically ready for a particular school? Test scores- they compare kids from all over with a standardized test. And yes, AP scores are good indicators too.
